"Oftentimes, when children are in trouble, you will hear people say that it is all because of low self-esteem. Low self-esteem is a phrase which here describes children who do not think much of themselves. They might think that they're ugly, or boring, or unable to do anything correctly, or some combination of these things, and whether or not they are right, you can see why those sorts of feeling might lead one into trouble. In the vast majority of cases, however, getting into trouble has nothing to do with one's self-esteem. It usually has much more to do with whatever is causing the trouble-a monster, a bus driver, a banana peel, killer bees, the school principal- than what you think of yourself"

Many people believe that cynicism is the height of courage. Actually, cynicism is the height of cowardice. It is innocence and open-heartedness that requires the true courage - However often we are hurt as the result of it.

Carl Fredricksen: This is crazy. I finally meet my childhood hero and he's trying to kill us. What a joke.
Dug: Hey, I know a joke! A squirrel walks up to a tree and says, "I forgot to store acorns for the winter and now I am dead." Ha! It is funny because the squirrel gets dead.
Carl Fredricksen: Do you want to play a game? It's called See Who Can Go the Longest Without Saying Anything.
Russell: Cool! My mom loves that game!
Young Ellie: [to a young Carl] You don't talk a lot.
[pause]
Young Ellie: I like you!
the last one is the most lovable quote for me uhu. Up! is greaaat. pretty entertaining and touching in one package. and this movie whose the main character's an old man, reminds me of my lovely grandpa

Think less but see it grow
Like a riot like a riot oh!
Not easily offended
Know how to let it go
From the mess to the masses
